## **Achievements and performance**

**Summary of the main achievements of** After a prolonged delay in securing an electricity connection, the Scout **the charity during the financial period** Group finally opened its new hall on 9 May 2025. During the five years we were decanted to other Scout halls, membership declined slightly, largely due to the additional travel required. Now that we are back in the village with a hall of our own, every section is full, with waiting lists for some. The boys and girls have given overwhelmingly positive feedback on the new hall, and our volunteers are equally delighted to be back in a dedicated space that makes planning and running activities far easier. From the outset, the hall was intended to serve as a community asset as well as a Scout facility, and we are pleased to have several local groups now using it regularly.

## **Financial review**

**Brief statement of the charity’s policy on reserves**

Reserves may only be used in the furtherance of Scouting purposes. In the event that the Scout Group should cease to exist, any reserves must pass to the District Treasurer and come under the management of the District Scout Council.
