With funding from the investment in the local windfarm, the Trust has refurbished the halls significantly which has resulted increased revenues from the hire of the facilities by the community and organisations. To manage the assets, the Trust has 3 part-time employee’s – Halls Manager, Halls Administrator and Development Officer. Typical use of the assets includes NHS training sessions, first aid training, Quiz nights, Ceilidh Trail band evening, dog training, folk club, Xmas pantomime, three wedding events, a funeral wake, a funeral service, pumpkin lantern making, clothes show, model show, ceilidh evening with Gary Innes, cubs meeting, informal coffee group warm space, numerous private parties, Horticultural show, Scottish Country Dancing, pre-school toddler group, weekend dance class for primary school children, yoga, Pilates, drawing classes, scouts, pipe-band practise, classical music concerts.

Objectives: (1) To advance the development and regeneration of Ardrishaig for the benefit of the community and the ublic in general follwoing prinicples of sustainable development (2) To manage community land and community assets for the benefit of the Community and the public in general following principles of sustainable development (3) To provide, or assist in providing, recreational facilities and/or organising recreational activities, which will be available to memebers of the public at large with the object of improving the conditions of life of the Community following principles of sustainable development (4) To advance the education of the Community about its environment, culture, heritage and/or history (5) To advance environmental protection or improvement including preservation and conservation of the natural environment, the promotion of sustainable development, the maintenanc, improvement or provision of environmental amenities for the community, and/or the preservation of buildings or sites of architectural, historic or other improtance to the community
