Achievements & Performance - Chair Report from AGM
We secured funding from Renfrewshire Council Local Area Partnership for Christmas Lights at the MUGA in time for Christmas 2024. Renfrewshire Council have no room to store any additional Christmas lights therefore we decided not to purchase any more for the lamp posts. Gleddoch donated £1,500 towards Christmas lights during 2023/24, this was unrestricted money and has stiill not been spent however we plan to add to the Christmas lights next year.
We organised our third Halloween event, inviting guisers to the MUGA to toast marshmallows, dook for apples and shoot some spooky goals. This was well attended and we plan to continue this next year.
Affluent Financial Planning donated £12,500 towards a new Pavillion at the MUGA and Planters for along the Main Road. The Pavillion was installed in early 2024 and we used a local painter to paint and seal it this year. the Planters were procured and purchased through Renfrewshire Council, this saved us on the VAT cost. There are plans to install electricity and a seperate annex for a toilet in the future with the £3,044 remaining.
Get Active Coaching CIC took over the Wednesday sessions in March and the club has been going from strength to strength since. All children age 6 - 16 are invited to join in the two hour multi sport activities and it is free to attend, with hot chocolate and a biscuit included. We secured additional funding from Renfrewshire Council Local Area Partnership to keep this going for another year. Get Active also secured lottery funding for one hour therefore we only have to raise money for the second hour.
We also secured Renfrewshire Council Winter Connections funding to put on some Winter Socials in the Village Hall during the winter months, this included Music and Movement, family fun at the MUGA, a family night in the hall and money towards the MUGA snack and our annual Santa event. These events were well attended and brought young and old residents of the village together. There is some money left over, this will go towards some digital equipment in the village hall
It has been another sucessful year and the MUGA is going from strength to strength.

An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters.
