Treasurer's report for EGM
The 2023-2024 season has been very successful in terms of improving our finances at the Edinburgh Singers. Overall our concerts have been received well with high ticket sales. This, combined with agreed increased subscription costs and lower concert costs, has increased our reserves significantly.
We have a surplus of £7444 this year, which leaves us with £12901 in reserves. This is much more stable than last year, and hopefully with this continued trend of (almost) sold out concerts, the choir can be assured that the finances are secure.
As I am now leaving the choir, I would like to thank everyone on the committee for their help both last year and this year, to help us achieve a safer financial position in what has been unprecendented times.
