Writing Orkney was fom)ed as a Scottish Charita￿e Incorporated
Organisation (SCIOI on 23 September 2024. The organisation converted
from the charity and cornpany known as the G8org8 Mathay Brown
Fellowship. retaining the charity number SC039924.
Writing Orkney will continue the work of the George Mackay Brown
Fellowship, to encourage and develop the praclitte ol cr8ative writing in
Orkney.

The Orkrw Voices and Wirdsmit groups continued to flourish during
2024. Orkn$3y Voices were asked to read al several festivals and events,
and recorded the 2022 anthology Gousters, Glims and Veer￿-0￿mS,
