We provide weekly tuition in fiddle and accordion playing to approximately 60 young people and adults. We run a week long summer school at an affordable cost and perform at various events in Orkney.
Objectives: to stimulate and encourage interest in the playing of traditional music in Orkney, particularly among young people to improve the standard of performance of traditional music amongst the population of Orkney, particularly among young people to support an up-to-date Orkney archive of locally composed music in the traditional style to emphasise the importance of traditional music in Orkney's culture
