Governing document Clydesdale Christian Youth Trust ("the Trust") is governed by a Trust Deed dated 10 June 2008 and was recognised as a Charity on 27 August 2008 by the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator. Appointment of Trustees There is no fixed temi for Trusteeship. Prior to their appointment, new Trustees would have expressed an interest in the Trust and would be familiar with the Trust's values, its aims and objectives as well as its day to day operations. As part of their induction programme, new Trustees are required to understand their statutory responsibilities. Organisational structure The Trustees are responsible for managing the affairs of the Trust. They delegate day to day management to the Management Committee, the members of which are shown on page 1. In the year under review two Trustees have served as members of the Management Committee. Objectlves The aim of the Trust is to advance the Christian religion among the young people in the Clydesdale area of South Lanarkshire and in furtherance Ihereof.. {a)to give the school age children and young people of the Clydesdale area the opportunity to explore the meaning, value and purpose of life from a Christian perspective. (b) to employ such person or persons and host such groups and events as are necessary, in conjunction with local churches and other Christian organisations where appropriate, to do all things as will properly attain the above stated aim. Achievements and performance Since starting on the 281h of October, Daniel has recently come to the end of his probationary period and completed his training. In this time, he has gradually begun working alongside local Churches and in some schools across Clydesdale. 1. Supporting the Local Church: Daniel has been involved and supported Hope Church in their after-school clubs and in-service days, and he also joined their Christmas Youth event. Kirkmuirhill Parish Church run a Youth Outreach called Teen Space, which Daniel has been along to support, as well as Calvary Carluke Baptist Church's Anchors Youth Group. Daniel has also been working alongside Biggar District Church to run an SU Group; Carstairs Parish Church to run assemblies in Carstairs Junction Primary. and Bridge Clydesdale Christian Youth Trust SU Scotland Charity Registration No SC039824 Church Lanark, who have supported the Trust in hosting 3 Connect Groups, which involve an evening of Bible Study & Games. 2. Residentials.. The Lanarkshire Primary & Secondary weekends were both great times of blessing. seeing the young people immerse themselves in exploring God's word. 3. Schools Work: The SU groups across the region are going really well. There are currently 3. with more in the process of starting. Daniel is regularly involved with these groups, supporting the great team of volunteers. Over Easter, Daniel was involved in 7 Assemblies across 4 Schools, and in partnership with Street Level, Carluke, hosted an Easter open house event. Changes to Personnel Daniel Munday was welcomed to his first Management Committee meeting in January 2026. Administration The Management Committee met five times during the year. The Trustees met on 23rd May 2025 to review and approve the 2CYTrust Annual Report for the previous year. Prayer is an essential part of these meetings. The Trust has a new website which clearly describes and illustrates our work. Our association with SU Scotland not only helps us with the financial administration referred to below, we also rely on line management and training for our worker with expert oversight by Karen Stangoe. The Associate Worker Scheme conference annually in March provides great opportunities for engaging with and leaming from other Associate Trusts in Scotland. Financial Review The beginning of the past financial year was relatively quiet due to there being no Youth worker in place. However we are glad to report that since Daniel Munday's appointment in October our accounts have been busier with payroll, pensions and invoices to pay. We were fortunate to be able to apply for a Scripture Union grant of £5,000 in October to help towards running costs and this was a great boost to our funds just before Daniel joined us. We also received a gift aid payment from HMRC totalling £1.270 which again helped to boost our funds. We were very blessed overthe last yearto receive lump sum payments from some supporters in the area and again these were an answer to prayer. One of the donations helped us to set up our new website. We are grateful to SU for payroll administration and also to their HR department who helped with the recruitment process. With this back-up we are able to make our salary payments each month and also pay HMRC when appropriate. Clydesdale Christian Youth Trust SU Scotland Charity Registration No SC039824 Income totalled to £11,716, a reduction of £2,710 on £14,426 in the previous year. The principal source of income were donations from individuals totalling to £4,020 and a grant of £5,000 from SU. Expenditure totalled to £10,780, down from £11,805 in the previous year. Employment costs remained our largest outgoing, amounting to £7,439 for the five months from November 2025 to March 2026. A surplus of £936 was recorded for the yearto 31 March 2026 (2025 surplus of £2,621). Reserves Policy Our reserves policy continues to be to hold SLrfficient funds available to provide months, salary and £2,000.00. The amount of the reserves to cover notice, redundancy and other costs will be reviewed annually. At the year-end, the Trust held unrestricted cash funds of £31.587, therefore meeting the reserves policy. Planning ahead - Renewed Vlsion Last yearfs report spoke about the recruitment campaign to find a new part time worker. We interviewed Daniel in September last year after a second round of advertising in July and August. He began working for us part time at the end of October. We were greatly encouraged that Daniel, by the beginning of March 2026, had completed a very positive mid-tenn review of the 6 months training offered by SU Scotland, as well as developing good local relationships with both churches and individuals locally. He has brought with him a vision for the Trust's work. An outcome of Daniel's review was that more can be achieved by a strengthened management team, with income to support increased part time hours for our worker. These are objectives which the Trust will pursue in 2026-27. Statement of Trustees, Responsibilitles Charity law requires the Trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year, which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity at the year*nd and of its incoming resources and resources expended during that year. In preparing those financial statements, the Trustees are required to.. select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently, make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent, prepare the financial statements on a going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue in business. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hen￿ for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities. Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts {Scotlandl Regulations 2006. The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10{1) {d) of the 2006 Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 4411) (c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basis of independent examiner's statement My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scollandl Regulalions 2006. An examination includes a review of the accounling records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented wilh those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in Ihe accounts, and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. Basis of Accounting These accounts have been prepared on the Receipts and Payments basis in accordance with the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. 2. Where considered prudent funds have been invested in higher interest savings accounts. Accounting Period: These accounts cover the period 1 April 2025- 31 March 2026. Trustees, remuneration: In the period to which these accounts relate no Trustees received any remuneration. Trustees, expenses: No Trustees were paid expenses during this period.
