**What the charity does:** The charity is there as a nursery for the children of serving military employees at Leuchars Army base and external children of people living in the area.

**Objectives:** The aim and objectives of the Bright Horizon Day Care Centre are as follows:   a. To promote the care and education of children in need of care, in an   environment where they feel both safe and valued.   b. To promote the care and education of children in need of care during out of   school hours and school holidays and to promote the provision of facilities for the   recreation and other leisure time of such children ensuring their social welfare is   improving their conditions of life.   In furtherance of the above objectives, the Centre shall:   c. Foster children&#x27;s positive sense of self esteem by ensuring that their  experiences, family backgrounds, interests, abilities and cultural heritage will be  positively celebrated and reflected across the service to enhance their quality of life.  d. Promote continuous personal development of persons providing such care so  they, either collectively or individually can improve directiy or indirectly, the quality of  children&#x27;s and families experiences. e. Promote social inclusion through broadly based and integrated support for children and families. f. Promote a quality service to give children a positive start in life, to help parents balance family and working life so that they feel part of the local community, accessing local resources so that our children have a sense of connection and belonging.
