**What the charity does:** The Andrew Raven Trust is a Scottish charity working with people locally, nationally and globally to explore the challenges presented to rural communities by climate change and the desire for a more sustainable future. The Trust also assists communities to explore their own responses to these issues. The Andrew Raven Trust delivers these aims by enabling and supporting the exchange of knowledge and understanding on a range of related topics between leading thinkers, and practitioners from science, the arts and the humanities. The Trust is committed to bringing together diverse voices in order to achieve as wide a perspective as possible.

**Beneficiaries:** &#x27;No specific group, or for the benefit of the community&#x27;

**Objectives:** a) The purpose for which the Trust is formed (&#x27;the Trust Purpose&#x27;) is to benefit the communities of Scotland, with particular emphasis upon rural communities, following the principles of sustainable development (where &#x27;sustainable development&#x27; means development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs), including: (i) the advancement of environmental protection or improvement and the management of land, including community land, and associated assets for the benefit of the community and the public generally. and (ii) the advancement of community development, including regeneration. and (iii) the advancement of education about the environment, science and sustainable development generally and about the heritage, arts and culture of different communities specifically. and (iv) the provision, or assisting in the provision, of recreational facilities, and/or organisation of recreational activities, which will be available to the local community and the public generally.
