Achievements and performance
Summary of the maln achlevernents of Aberdeen Women's Aliance continued to offer women in the ￿ty
the ¢harity durlng the flnancial period
opportuntbes io influen(* and part￿ipate.
The Allan￿ provided further practiral sUPPOrt to women al the
COnnect￿nS Women's Centre by way of vouchers.
A group of third year pupils at St Margaret's School for girls chose AWA to
be their potential sUp￿ed F)roiect for Wood Group's Young and
Philanthropy Inttiative pr￿arnrne. We won the competition and were
awarded £3k to help"Develop a Ne￿rk for indivKlual womon and
women's wps..
In collaboration wÉth Aberdeen violen￿ Against Women and Girls
Partnership we organised a Reclaim the Night Group march on 25 Nov to
kKk-Start'16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based W￿lence, lo ralse
awareness and to galvanize action to make our streets safer for women.
The ScottÈsh Women's Budget Group {SVVBGI Women in Poverty report
esenled to Cour￿lI10rS in November 2025 contsined input from AWA'S
Middlefiekl everrt as part of a wider pro1￿1.
In partnership with RGU and ACC, AWA organised an International
Women's Day event in March 2026. This was an inspiring gatherirKJ
lebrating the achwements of women and promoting gender equality.
KeYr￿te speakers, a pand discussh)n and intwactwe workshop5 all took
place in the Town and County Hall.
