Independent Examinar's Report to the Tr.ustees I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31 D8cember 2025. R88pectlve responsibllities of trustees and oxamlner The charity's trustees aré responsible for the preparation of the accounts in acGordance wth the tetms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10{1) (a) to (¢) of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44(1) (cl of the Act and to State whether particular matters have ￿me to my attention. Bas13 of Independent examlnerfs statement My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented wtth those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeks explanalions from the twstees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts. Independent examinerfs statsment In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention which gives me reasonable Cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements to keep arLounting records in accordance with Section 44(1) la) of the 2005 Art and Regulation 4 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations, and to prepare accounts which a¢cord with the accounting records and comply wth Regulation 8 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations have not been mel, or to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to 6nable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached. Accounting Policies The principal accounting policies are summarised below. la) Basls of accounting The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention, and in accordance with the Companies Act 1985 and the Statement of Recommended Practice.. Accounting and Reporting by Charities. 2005. (b) Fund accounting Unrestricted funds are available for use at the discretion of the trustee5 in furtheran¢e of the general objectives of the charity. Restricted funds are subjected to restrictions on their expenditure imposed by the donor or through the temis of an appeal. (c) Receipts and Paymènts The accounts are prepared on a receipts and payments basis. Receipts and payments are accounted for in the year Ihat they are banked. 2.
