**What the charity does:** KaTCA actively: • pursues local issues on behalf of the community • drives improvements within the community • represents residents in meetings on issues impacting the local community. It helps to ensure a collective voice is heard by external bodies including the Council, The Crown Estate, and the Cairngorm National Park • organises fundraising activities to benefit local initiatives • maintains the lifesaving defibrillator accessible in the village • supports other local events and organisations via donations • maintains the local tennis court and games field for public use

**Objectives:** 4.1 The advancement of citizenship and community development through working with the  local statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and residents in a common effort to  improving local living conditions for the residents of Kirkmichael and Tomintoul. 4.2 To promote, establish, operate and/or support any other charitable projects or initiatives  for the advancement of community development. 4.3 The management of community land and associated assets for the benefit of the  Community and the public in general as an important part of the protection and  sustainable development of Scotland&#x27;s natural environment, where &#x27;sustainable  development&#x27; means development which meets the needs of the present without  compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. 4.4 The provision of recreational facilities or the organisation of recreational activities with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended. 4.5 The advancement of the education of the Community about its environment, culture  and/or history. 4.6 The provision of lifesaving equipment for public use through the installation and  management of a community defibrillator in Tomintoul.
