The charity was set up to raise funds for the purpose of siting an historical sculpture within a relevant scenic area. This work is now complete apart from some minor maintenance work. Once completed the group will look to close down with any residual funds going to local mountaineering trust (s).

Objectives: 4.1 to further public knowledge of the achievements made by Norman Collie and John Mackenzie during their pioneering climbs of The Skye Cuillin 4.2 to promote the value and connection of the local landscape, wild places and the Gaelic culture 4.3 to raise sufficient funds for the planning, construction and ongoing maintenance of a bronze sculpture at Sligachan, Isle of Skye, with associated landscaping of the immediate surrounding area and any other related works in memory of the pioneer mountaineers, Norman Collie and John Mackenzie 4.4 to engage with other agencies such as the John Muir Trust in relation to landscaping, environmental conservation, interpretation, promotion and public access issues linked with all at 4.3 4.5 to allow advancement of education through work with local schools 4.6 to encourage advancement of public knowledge through information on site and through the internet
