The charity was set up for the benefit of the residents of Fort Augustus and Invermoriston (Fort Augustus and Glenmoriston Community Council area). We receive income from various wind farms and hydro, which is used to provide grants to local groups for community projects and funds our apprenticeship scheme. under a SLA with Highland Council we employ a team of community caretakers who undertake a variety of services in the community e.g. grass cutting, litter picking, etc.. we own and rent out the village hall for various activities. we built the local medical centre which is rented to the NHS. we own 15 affordable homes, 12 of which we built, and rent these to local residents. we have built a children's playpark and are developing land for community use. we operate a community larder and provide a skip hire service for residents to use. we have undertaken a Community Action Plan and Local Place Plan. and we own and operate the local hardware store for the benefit of residents.
