Objectives: Objects The objects of the Society shall be the education of the public in the study, practice and appreciation of the art of music and the allied arts and in particular (without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing) the promotion of the education of the public in the study, practice and appreciation of the recorder and its repertoire. The SRP operates and is required to register as a charity in a number of jurisdictions. Nothing in the articles will authorise an application of the property of the charity for purposes which are not charitable in accordance with any statutory provision regarding the meaning of the word 'charitable', or the words 'charitable purposes' in force in any part of the United Kingdom and/or the Republic of Ireland and/or the European Union or elsewhere. For the avoidance of doubt, the system of law governing the constitution of the charity is the law of England and Wales, and Scotland.
