Financial review
The incotne to the general fund has increased over 2023, with a marked increase in giving through gift aid
and much greater income arising from rental of the church premises to outside agencies. The increasc in
income is reflcclcd in an incr¢a5c in thc pa)Incnts made lo the central funds of the church, most other Costs
remaining consistent with the previous year. In 20?4 there w&s an excess of receipts over paJTnents of
£2:400, increasing unrestricted reseryes to £6.964 which is just slightly over OTke month's normal
expendinwe.
Remarkable progress has again been made in repaying the loans taken out to finance thc neiv church
building of ivhich full use is now being mad¢. Capital ￿pa)￿llents tt)lalling £30,726 Il'ere made during
2024: leaving only £9,840 to be repaid in respect of the loan from the Free Church of Scotland. The loan
from MethiKiist Chapel Aid was fully repaid in the )'ear. It is anticipated that the ￿main1ng loan will be
fully repaid by April 2025. The original intetrtion that repayment would not achieved until 2039.
The Deacons, Court continues to be most grdteful for the colltinuing generous supw)rt of th¢ congregation
throughout the year, particularly in respect of the loan repayments.
