Trustees Report I" March 2025-28, February 2026 The FROM Scotland Trustees have continued to organise a number of event5 over the last year. During this period we have held several successful events {Afternoon Teas, Soup and Sandwich, Open Golf, Concerts and Wreath Making). In addition, Trustees have continued to create and sell crafts at a range of events, profits of which they gift to the charity. Our gift investment continues to be managed by three appointed Trustees who meet with the investment manager regularly. Due to changes in the investment portfolio, we also withdrew funds from this investment. Given the continuing increase in the cost of delivering our committed support, this has helped to ensure the continued support of our feeding programmes and student scholarships. We continue to be incredibly fortunate and grateful to have such a dedicated team of Trustees, volunteers and supporters, particularly when many are facing challenges with the increase to the cost of living here in the UK. Wlth rlslng costs in Malawi and the UK, we are conscious that each year further funds need to be raised to maintain our commitments. Our key focus for this year, as last. has been to maintain support for our existing organisations and partners in Malawi to ensure they could maintain the Services and feeding programmes they provide to some of the most vulnerable children in Chikwawa, Blantyre and Mangochl. As in previous years priority was the provision of fortified maize Ilikuni phala) to our community groups to ensure they could maintain underfive feeding to families most in need. Fortlfled Malze We have provided 15900kg of likuni phala to under five nurseries across the southern region of Malawi. Every month this equates to over 1325kg distributed per month. We current5y support Open Arms Infant Home, STEKA, disability centre (Ndirandel, Mango school Imangochil, and three nurseries in Chikwawa District. Fortified maize flour is collected directly from the supplier for both Open Arms Infant Home and STEKA. All other organisations receive a direct delivery facilitated by our partners at the WASHTED Centre (Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences) who support this attlvlty as part of their community outreach. Student support We continue to support a graduate from Mfera CDSS who is now in fourth year at Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences. The support provides for accommodation and a living allowance to support thelr studles. We continue to support two additional graduates of Mfera CSDD who are in their second year of study at Domasi College of Education. This support has helped to pay for their tuition fees and enabled them to continue with their studles. Speclflc organlsatlonal support We continued to support STEKA home with fundingfor a cleanerfortheir home to help maintaln the standards in the orphanage. We support Mwai Orphanage in Ndirande to repair and replace emergencytoilets fortheirfacillty followin8 heavy rains which left the organisation with no sanitation facilities in the middle of a slum area and exposed to high level of health risks for vulnerable children.
