The Rotary Club of Arbroath Charitable Trust commenced activities in July 2007. It was set up to receive funds by donation and by fund raising activities and has a broad giving remit. The fund raising is carried out principally by members of the club and includes Quiz nights, Ceilidhs, Golf Competitions, Coffee Mornings and Bucket Collections. Funds are also acquired from attending Craft Fairs and Farmers Markets. This list is not intended to be fully comprehensive. Donations are from members, local businesses, Guildry and other charities. The giving can be international such as Rotary Foundation, national such as Shelterbox and local. There is some emphasis on local giving including youth groups, Rotary youth Competitions, Schools, local organisations and individuals. The club has a Giving Committee which receives funding requests and advises on the giving of donations which are then presented to the club before any donations are made.

Objectives: To promote good citizenship and community spirit in Arbroath area and in furtherance of that to arrange or support public events and incur expenditure in that connection. To make grants from time to time to assist public or voluntary organisations based or operating within the United Kingdom that have charitable status in law operating either on their own or in conjunction with other organisations or authorities for a particular purpose. To make grants from time to time to assist individuals normally resident in or near Arbroath who are in financial need to advance their education or ambition or to provide relief on account of their age, ill health, disability or other disadvantage
