In small groups up to 6 students who have mental health, or long-term health difficulties ,we offer a wide range of workshops to give them focus, self-esteem, social interaction and confidence. Our workshops focus on working with textiles and donated goods to lessen the impact on landfill. A well-being garden has been created and we take trips to external events. With funding we have collaborated with local well being groups to offer additional experiences for our students by engaging with others in garden events .

Beneficiaries: 'People with disabilities or health problems'

Objectives: 1. To run a social enterprise which will provide gainful employment and training for people with a range of disabilities and/or long term health problems, including mental, emotional or physical, and for people who are disadvantaged or far removed from the labour market. 2. To enhance and sustain the environment by recycling textiles diverting this waste from landfill sites and creating new products using traditional hand crafted techniques. 3. To reduce stigma attached to mental health issues by adopting a policy of inclusion whereby the whole community can be involved in the project, raising awareness about mental health, disability, discrimination and environmental issues.
