**What the charity does:** The Dumbarton Castle Society was inaugurated around 2005 to create a volunteer group which focusses  on promoting and enhancing Dumbarton Castle in the context of working with local partners such as West Dunbartonshire Council, Historic Environment Scotland, Bellsmyre Digital Community, etc.

**Objectives:** To educate the public as to the historical significance of Dumbarton Castle, Dumbarton, West Dumbartonshire, Scotland (hereinafter referred to as 'the Castle') which object shall include but not be limited to the education of school children and other students.
