**Purposes:** 'the advancement of education','the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended'

**What the charity does:** The project aims to advance the education of the communities of the Doon Valley by providing community based education and training.  Providing classes, courses and activities together with childcare when required.

**Objectives:** (1) to advance the education of the communities of Bellsbank, Dalmellington, Patna and their environs ('the Operating Area') through the provision of community based education and training that enables adults to develop and realise their full potentia l, thereby encouraging them to take an active part in their own community for their own and the community's benefit. (2) to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Operating Area, without distinction of sex, race, age or political, religious or other opinions by associating the local and statutory authorities and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and relieve poverty by the provision of creche facilities thereby giving inhabitants an opportunity to take advantage of education, training and employment opportunities so that the conditions of life of the aforementioned inhabitants may be improved. and (3) to promote the benefit particularly, but not exclusively, of parents in the Operating Area without distinction of sex, sexuality, political, religious or other opinions by associating the local statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities, or assist in the provision of facilities, in the interest of social welfare for recreation and other leisure-time occupation so that their conditions of life may be improved. '
