## Independent Examiner’s Report to the Trustees of Skeabost Community Sports Association 

I report on the accounts ofthe charity for the year ended 30 June 2025.. 

Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner 

The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement ofRegulation 10 (1)(d) of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. ## Basis of independent examiner’s statement 

My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the theevidenceaccounts,that would be required in an audit. and consequently we do not express an audit opinion on the view given by

In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention 

I Which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements: 

- to keep accounting records in accordance with Section 44(1)(a) of the 2005 Act and Regulation 4 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations, and 

- ¢ to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with Regulation 9 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations

## Appointment of Trustees 

The Skeabost Community Sports Association Trustees are appointed or re-appointed by the committee members at our Annual General Meeting which is held in October each year. 

## Governing document 

The Skeabost Community Sports Association is a charitable unincorporated association and the purposes and administration arrangements are set out in our Constitution. 

## Charitable purposes 

Our purposes, as recorded in our Constitution, are to provide a full range ofsporting and recreational facilities where they are needed, and be genuinely open to all members ofthe public without imposing conditions as to the level of ability of the participants. 

## Activities and Achievements 

We hope to encourage new users as well as all our normal regular user groups to use this facility. 

## Trustees Remuneration and expenses 

The Trustees did not receive any remuneration or expensed during the year. 

## Reserves 

As a result of the surplus of £12 for the year, the Association held unrestricted funds of £905 at the year end. The Association has restricted capital reserves of £905 at the year end. 

The Committee considers the general fund of £905 w ill enable us to continue running at current rates for the forthcoming year, providing money for general running costs together with a contingency.
