**What the charity does:** Coxton Tower represents a microcosm of Scottish History and sometimes receives visitors, particularly descendants of the Clan Innes. The structural walls are 1.4m thick in places, and the Tower is circa 16.5m high. The building contains 4 vaulted storeys, each with a single room. Every part of the structure, including the roof construction, is made of stone to mitigate fire damage. There is a chamfered entrance in the South wall, leading into a slightly sunken vaulted store. A stone forestair was added around 1846 by Benjamin Pennycuick. Previously, access to the 1st floor had been provided by a wooden ladder. The 1st floor entrance has an armorial panel above from circa 1587. The panel is initialled RI and AI for Robert Innes of Invermarkie (Superior), and Alexander Innes of Coxton. The second set of initials are IR and KG, for Janet Reid and Kate Gordon, 1st and 2nd wives respectively of the aforesaid Alexander Innes.
