Brownies is part of Girlguiding and is for girls aged 7-10years. The purpose of Girlguiding is to empower girls and young women to find their voice, discover their potential, and make a positive difference in the world by providing a safe, inclusive, all-girl space for them to have fun, adventure, learn valuable life skills, and build confidence. Brownies follow a programme of activities building on their skills in a fun, safe environment. It offers a space for girls to build lasting friendships, feel a sense of belonging, and receive support from other girls and volunteers. The movement encourages girls to contribute positively to their communities and to society as a whole by building on their skills and confidence. Girlguiding is committed to welcoming all girls and young women, regardless of their background, faith, or abilities, providing a safe space for everyone to participate.
Objectives: Promoting the instruction of girls of all classes in the principles of discipline, loyalty and good citizenship.
