ADAMS- President's Reportfor 2025 AGM
It's been a wonderfulyear since the lastAGM as we the Cornmittee
decided to make ourjob harderthis year by staging Rock of Ages atthe
Bowhouse. This required us to hire in a cornplete theatre setting
including staging. sound. lights, bar, seating and staff. So, with our new
treasUrer￿On board keeping an eye onfinances we secured
the best possible deals.
We started by buildingour production team Of￿aS director
whowould be assisted by

as accompanist. This year we Looked for a new choreographer and
approached
nd after meeting with her we
offered herthe position which thankfully she accepted.
We also had
n charge backstage with his usual helpers.

did a power ofworkalongwith cast members doing some
painting forthe props. We even have a car now thanks to
which we may hire out to others. A bigthank you to all involved

whose vision and hard work brought it all
together.

So. March 25 lastyear saw us have ourwelcome night with a guitar
drive and it was good to see a lot of people there especially some new

faces. Rehearsals started in the Dreel Halls on the 15 April and it was
wonderfulto see new people especially an influx of male wannabe
rockersl
The c8St ended up being 20 ladies and 17 men,- an almost unheard-of
ratio ofwomen to men. Aftertwoweeks on the 29 Aprilwe held
auditions and such was the number of auditionees that it took us until
11 pm to get through them all. We retired to the President's house
where by 1.30amwe had a castfor RockofAges. Rehearsals
continued on Mondays with Thursday nights for principals added in
and the ensemble required on Thursday nights from 1°'July due to the
