The group was founded over 20 years ago to benefit the young people of Twechar. A key aspect of the group is ensuring that the young people participate in designing & delivering the activities which take place. Through these activities the young people learn new skills, gain confidence and learn to work together as part of a team. Activities have included active travel, food growing, conservation, waste reduction, various training courses, outdoor activities & residential trips.

Objectives: To promote the benefit of young people in the Twechar area by associating the local statutory authorities, voluntary organizations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide or promote the provision of facilities, in the interests of social welfare, for their recreation and other leisure-time occupation thereby improving the conditions of life of the aforementioned young people and developing their physical, mental and spiritual capacities so that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society.
