Inverclyde Christian Initiative, established early 2005, organises and promotes regular outreach and activities beyond the scope of individual local churches. This includes: Monthly and occasional half-nights of prayer Healing Rooms available to the public since 2007 Outreach event ‘God in the Park’ International revival conference 2008 10-day outreach event with Times Square, New York, 2009 Inverclyde Street Pastors introduced 2010. Rail Pastors 2018 Regular Easter outreach meetings Annual Civic Prayer event Annual ‘Carols at Cappielow’ at the football club’s main stand since 2014 Hosting Hustings at General Election times for candidates to discuss moral issues. Drama event with Riding Lights Drama company 2023 We regularly convene supporting Inverclyde church ministers and representatives from local Christian groups to share ideas and activities. We also support other local activities, including promoting them via traditional and social media.
Objectives: (a) The advancement of religion through worship, preaching and teaching of Christian doctrine and principles, fellowship and the distribution of Bible teaching in all forms, and the advancement of the Christian Faith generally. (b) The advancement of education on the basis of Christian principles. (c) The relief of persons who are in need, poverty, distress, aged or sick.
