'the advancement of citizenship or community development'

As a Third Sector Interface our main purpose is to provide support to and representation for 3rd sector organisations (TSO’s) across Aberdeen City. We represent them in a range of local forums and at a national level via the TSI network and with Scottish Government to ensure a strong 3rd sector voice within local & national planning structures. We support building the capacity of TSO’s directly with funding, governance, finance services and volunteering to achieve positive outcomes. Our Policy Officer interacts with stakeholders regarding new government policy, consultations etc on matters which directly impact TSO’s. We provide leadership, vision and co-ordination to the 3rd sector to better respond to local priorities, including through partnership and collaboration. Our comms team publishes a monthly news update and opportunities bulletin to help inform the 3rd sector in Aberdeen on all relevant matters. We also administer grant funds on behalf of the Scottish Government.

Objectives: To promote all or any activities for the benefit of the community, now or hereafter deemed by law to be charitable. To assist the work of voluntary organisations and statutory authorities engaged in the advancement of education, the furtherance of health, the relief of poverty, distress or sickness or other charitable purpose.
