To achieve this, we organise regular religious services, festivals, and cultural events, and we provide Tamil language classes, Hindu spiritual education, and IT and computer training. The name of the organisation shall be Sri Mangala Vinayahar Community Centre.  (2) To relieve poverty in Sri Lanka, particularly in the North and East and Tamil Nadu.  (3) To advance education for the public benefit in the values of Hinduism and the Hindu way amongst the local community.  (4) To promote the benefit particularly, but not extensively, of the Hindu inhabitants of Glasgow and its environs without distinction of gender, sexuality, political, religious or other opinions by associating the local statutory authorities, voluntary organizations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities, or assist in the provision of facilities, in the interest of social welfare for recreation and other leisure-time occupation so that their conditions of life may be improved.  In furtherance of these objectives, but not otherwise, the Association shall seek to organise and/or promote:  (a) Cultural and educational events conducted for the community at large.
