Objectives: The Charitable Purposes of the Trust (lithe Charitable Purposes II) are to achieve public benefit, in relation to the UK Overseas Territory of South Georgia and the . South Sandwich Islands and its surrounding waters (lithe Area of Benefit'), by: 3.1.1 conserving and protecting the physical and natural environment and biodiversity of the Area of Benefit, to include raising awareness of threats thereto and taking steps, or encouraging or working with others to take steps, to meet or overcome these. 3.1.2 preserving, conserving and protecting buildings, monuments, structures and artefacts, to include ships and marine artefacts 3.1.3 advancing the education of the public in the historical and human heritage and industrial and marine archaeology of the Area of Benefit, to include supporting and assisting others who do so. and 3.1.4 supporting, managing and promoting South Georgia Museum, including the acquisition, development, curation and maintenance of a collection of relevant and appropriate historical records and artefacts.
