Vice chair￿rS0n, Treasurer and Secretary, who are el￿t￿l or re-eletted ty the members of the charity at
the Annual General Meeting whlch 55 trEld In September each year. When a positlon becornes vacant, t
remaining trustee5 inwte other Indimduals with similar interests to bLrome a trustee.

The Management Comrnitt￿ meet on an ad-hoc basis, but rarely less than On￿ a rnonth. More pressiro
matter5 are dealt with using e-mail.
Full mernbwship of the partnershlp is open to Chrlstlans aged 18 and over resident on the Isle of Lewls and
further afield in Scotland. Junlor mÉYnbership of the Partnerthlp Is open to Christians under the age of 18
residtht on the Isle of Lewls and further afield in %otland. Junior memt)ers do not have the righl to vore
at memtEr m￿LIng% but may el& from iJ)emselves one rep￿SentatIVe who shall have full voting rights at
m*tings of the Partnershlp.
Rlsk management
The trustee5 have Identiried the followlng and have sought to mitigate them as (Èscribed-
The aims and obiertives of the tharity are on a prarti(al level at least very much de￿ndant on
roi5ing a certain amount of funds, i.e. swnsoring child￿n, buying land etc. The mrtigation of th6
risk is a planned fundraislng prcgramme.
Another financial risk Is foreign currency exchange105ses, which at one time previously was a big
probletn when chaThJing money back Into Sterling after a trip out to Tre Gambla one year. The
trustees feel that the best way to mitlgare this kiThl of thiro is to have Iktail￿ cash flow systems
in {￿a￿ so that only what cash Is n*ded Is taken out.
A further risk identlfleé has L)een In relatson to the publ￿ perception of the chartty. It is Important

OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
Folbwing a trip to Serrekunda in The Gambia in November 2004 a vision vvas t(Jrne lo spieacl the Gospel
to a predominantly Muslim nation. A tA3rtr)ership was subsequently established between Christlen5 in The
Gambia and Christians in Scotland. Thi5 Pértnership wa5 naffled The Gambia Partnership. The Sc¢)ttish
comrnittee is based in Stornoway on the Western Isles and the Garnbian cotnmitiee is based primarily in
Serrekunda. All tommittee memLErs are Christians.
The Gambia Partnership vvas essentially set up to serve Jesu5 chr￿t. It is hoped that this will be achievaj
through the foll(wing four key aiffts..
Gospel Outreach and Teachlng
Support Churches and believers to reach out with the &xxJ Newv5 of Jesus Christ through
witnessingi distribution of tracts and print and audio Bibles.
Hokjing regular meetings at different locations to provide Spiritually enrichit¥J teaching.
Education
Provitye educational support to individuals and communltles through child SFKJnscYship and bulldiTrJ
projects.
Micro-Enterprise Projects
Offer individuals the start up capital lo engage in small Lusyiess enterprise. This rernoves econom
disadvantages and allows 1ndividuals and familie5 the optx)rtunity to LEcome finanoalty self-
sufficient.
