Respectlve responslbllltle$ of Trustees and Ex•rnlner The Club's Trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the Charitles and Trustee Investment Iscotlandl Act 2005 I'the Act") and the Charities Accounts (Scotlandl Re8ulations 2008 I'the Regulations"). The Club's Trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulatlon Iolllldl doe5 not apply. It is my respon51bllity to examine the accounts as required under sectlon 44llllcl of the Act and to state whether partlcular matters have come to my attentlon. Basls of Independent Examlner's Statement My examlnation Is carrSed out In accordance with the Regulations. An examlnation includes a review of the accountlng records kept by the Club and a comparison of the accounts presented with those record5. It also includes conslderation of any unusual item5 or disclosures in the accounts, and seeks explanations from the Trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provlde all the evldence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audlt oplnion on the view glven by the accounts. Hi Everyone. For those of you who are not familiar with our accounts, let me begin by explaining that The bar takings and stock has its own section in the accounts and are not included in each events totals. This is due to rolling stock levels carried forward. I think all the f igures speak for themselves. The Mad about Musicals event continues to be successful. seems to get more popular everyye8r. Variety at the Vic, the donation was topped up to £1300 using some of the bar profits. The charity was also able to raise a further £385 at the main show with bucket donations. You will be able to see that each of our fund raising events were successful. The main show, The Wedding Singer, proved to be a huge succ8ss amongthe cast. crew and audience, f inancially however it did draw quite a loss maybe due to it being a lesser known show. I'm happy to say that our membership subscription remains fairly stable. adding much needed funds to the club. We were able to claim £685.00 in Gift Aid, please be aware that the 2024 figure is made- up of the 2023 and 2024 claim. due to it having been claimed in the same ye8r. Early on in the ye8r the committee agrèed that we should open a savings account to hold our reserves and gain some interest. This has been successful and over the year the account has gained £359.96 in interest. Early on in 2025 the bank changed our account from a charity account to a community account. This now means that we pay b8nk charges. This year it was agreed that the restricted funds should be released to buy storage equipment. Some has now been used to buy new rails and storage boxes for costumes. I'm happyto say, finally, that over the yearwe only made a sm811 loss of £653.03, Which proves what a successf ul year it has been and highlights the importance of fund raising events.
