Tto We started off the year with a healthy bank balance of £29,817.82. Knowing that this year's show cholce was Ilkely to be more expensive than previous yeais it was tortunare thai we had a good financial Siarting point. A8 Usual, 83 you can see, we keep the bar S¥Pciiate from th8 events. Thls is (Jue to stock levels and being able to carry forvvtard stock Irom one event 10 another. The firsi event last year was the Mad About Musicals event which is becomlng rnore and more popular. As you can see the box office rotals are up on the previous year. The Variety at the Vic event lasi year was In aid ot 'Tne Helensburgh Communlty Hub" The event was sllghtly aown on the previous year, however w8 topped up the don8tion from funds and we weie able to make a donation of £1200 and that along with what they were able io raise in the buckets at the main show, £256, gave them 8 total of £1456. Fundralslng Both cotfee morning events were suceesslul as you can see from the prolit ligurès, thank you to everyone who Ipl ed with these and donated items ol the fDn(J Rnd pri7es. Thank you to for running the sweep%tFJkp. nnrp 9galn, it was fun and entortulning, th18 brought in £120 towards funds and thank you tu schools who donated É50 towards club funds. or reprasenting Santa at one ol the local The quiz which we held in May last yoar wes slightly down on pievioius years but neverthel8SS still worth having as part of our 90cial calendar, briiigiiig people together. Tttis being the cluL)'¥ 40th annlvers8ry we wanted to celebrate this, we held & party at the $8iling club, iiivitiri8 alDng past ana prèsent membors. The club funded this event. Our show Choice was a huge ¥ucc8ss as you can see trom tho box office. In saying th81 the bar taking3 were slighlly Uown whlch reiiects the f8Ct that il was a child friendly show? The biggest increase in expenses for the show were the band, which had more members than previous years, the costumas which was inevitable and the sound, as we hired more eqLtipment. Finally. I'm happy lo say th8T the membership subscription remained steady, with some new metnbers lolnlng us for both Mad About Musicals and the main show,"8eauty and The Beast" On8 final point. we have kept the grant from Ihe Roun¢J Table, which was designated for the storoge project. Ae this lias riDW been sneivecl. we have decided to release these funds to put towards stor<i¥e eqLJlpment Irssiead. We closÈd the y8ar in good financi818hape to bring us forw8rd into rhis year.
