**Purposes:** 'the advancement of education','the advancement of citizenship or community development','the advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science','the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended'

**What the charity does:** The club meet weekly throughout the year for rehearsals towards a concert in the spring and main show in the autumn.  The club is fully inclusive.  Although we are primarily an adult group we do encourage all age groups to participate.   We offer many different experiences to our members to ensure that everybody is included and learns new skills.  These range from performance (e.g. singing, dancing, acting, etc.) to behind-the-scene (e.g. organisation, stage management, costume design etc.) We organise an annual musical event, called  'Variety at the Vic', where we bring together many local performing groups to raise money for a nominated charity of the year, voted for by the members.      Alongside these activities we aim to provide our members with a positive social experience where they can meet new people, form friendships and feel part of a community.

**Objectives:** To advance the education of the public in the musical arts and in furtherance thereof shall seek to produce and perform musical shows of a high calibre for the public.
