3rd Forfar Scout Group is an Indep￿dent clkgrity which is affiliated wilh Ihe Scout Association; however, it is not
our parent body. We follcfyv the constitution as set out in Ihe pc4iGy, ￿ganIsati)n and rules of the SGQUt Association
( with Scottish varrationl. Our purposes are to acttvely engage and wpport young people in their Fxrsonal
development, empowering them to make a positive Gontribulion to society.

All the Group Trustees are appointed by th& Cornmittee and parents at our AGM hdd in Spring eaGh year.
Actlvlttes & Achlevements
Now having completed our first financial year kn our own building we can start calculating the realtime cost of
having our own hall. The building still needs some Maintenan￿ but on a much smaller scale. All of our sections
are enjoying their prograrnme V￿th all apart from Squirrels enjoying the freedom of Nights away experiences with
huge percentsge of tske up. We have present within the local Community with lots of fundraising and
communty awareness events including at the Iccal Gala Day, Tesco Blue tokens scheme. the local Inner Wheel,
supporting the local OAP h811, at ReMernbra￿ day Poppy selling and parade. a fundraisiry Gin night with a l(tal
producer and assorted I￿al visits across the sections. All sections have had recipients of the top awards as well
as many actimty. partlcipats'¢X, stsged and challenge badges. The focus of th8 Trustees has been steered towards
the govemance of the GroLP which is heading in the right direction. We now have a Treasurer and full Trustee
Board. Our Leadership t8am has a v*iety of Characters Ytho give a broad spectrum of oynions to the young
pwtye wrth us and enables tIEm to find thar olm OPlnior6. Our nun*ers contlnue to remaln stable wim young
people joining as older ones ap out.

The Trustees did not receive any remuneTh3tion ￿ expenses during the yw.
Reserves Pollcy
As a re8uIt of the surplus from all accounts of £6189 the group holjs general unrestricted funds
of £10827 and t1￿ Beavers, Cubs and Scouts hold designated unrestricted funds
of £1009. Subscription levels wll be reVie￿￿d at the A.G.M.

I report on the financial statements of the 3rd Forfar Scout Group ('the Group") for the year ended 31
March 2025

The Group's Trustees are responsble for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the Charities
and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 ('ttE ACV) and the Charibes Accounts (Scotland) Regulats'ons
2006 ("the Regulations"). The Group's Trustees C￿s￿ler that the audit requirement of RegulatK)n 10(1){d)
of the Accounts Regulations d￿S not apply. It is my reswnsibility to examine the a¢counts as required
under section 44(1){c) of the Acl and to stste whether particular matters have come b my attention.

My examination 13 carried out in accordan￿ with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scotland}
Regulatlons 20Cfj. An examinat1(￿ indudes a review of the accounting records kept by the Group and a
comparlson of the acwunts presented wlth the those records. It also indudes conslderatlon of any
unusual Items or dlsclosures In the accounts, and seeks explanatlons from the Trustees concemlng any
suctt matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evKlence that would be required in an
audit, and consequently I do not express an audrt opinion on the view given by the accounts.

In connection with my examination, no rnatter has come to my att8ntion'.-
(1) whlch glves me reasonable cause to belleve that In any materlal respect. the requlrements
(a) to keep accDunting reu>rds in accordance with the Regulab'ons, and
{b) to prepare accAJunts which agree with the accounting records and cornpty with the Regulations
have not been met, or
(2) to Whicn, in my oplnion, atteniion should be drawn in order to enatle a proper understandlng of the
accounts to be reached.
