Activities

'It makes grants, donations or gifts to organisations'

'any other purpose that may reasonably be regarded as analogous to any of the preceding purposes'

We run a thrift shop with tea room. We provide retail facilities in an area where there are few shopping opportunities. Not only are we providing the local community with bargains but we are recycling goods. and reducing the amount of goods going to landfill. Customers also use the tea room as a meeting place for teas and coffees and baking and meeting up with friends. There is a Monday afternoon club where ladies who may otherwise feel socially isolated, come to meet up and chat and do craft work. We have also held several events such as an evening shopping event and a Christmas shopping event. Proceeds from our sales are used to run and maintain the hall . We also donate funds to local good causes. Since 2008 we have donated over £108000.
