The Forever Young Club became a charity on the 111h of March 2005. Truslees are recruited from the membership and appointed by the Management Committee at the AGM. The Trustees are responsible for the strategic direction and governance of the club and the day to day running is delegated to 2 paid members of staff who are managed by the Chairperson of the charity.

'To promote the welfare of elderly and socially isolated people within the Southlwest area of Edinburgh The charity provides access to a lunch and social activities, the club is based Within the Carrickvale Community Centre Under nofmal circumstances the club would run for 4 days per week Monday to Thursday providing activities and social opportunities in a safe environment, with access to lunch facilities and the provision of transport to and from their home of residence. Occasional outings would also be organised for the club members to provide variety to the programme. Summary of main achievements during the financial period We continue to keep in touch wi ho is In the process of applying for further grants. We are awaiting a grant of £S.000 from Onecity Trust. Financial review Our Income was £11,344 the majority of which was from grants. Our expenaiture was £28,835. The majority of our expenditure was on staffing and associated rosts as well as administrative costs. Reserves Policy Our unrestricted reserves are £14.924 and we are due to receive another £5 000 from Onecity Trust We have however no guaranteed core funding and continye to seek funding to ensure our on-going suslainability Donated services The charity benefits from significant volunteer time, on average 24 hours per vleek. Without the time they contribute we could not function, nor could we provide one to one support needed by some of our clients Vve are very appreciative of their ard work and take this opportunity to say a very sincere thank you.
