The anNal camp at L¢Jthèamhead Statton In ixober 23 was a huge Su5 and another camp is planne¢ Icf thls October al Lochgollhead Scout CentTe. Our Explorer teader took part In an aTr)ther a(fvanceil mountsineeTlrKJ course In Augusi 2024 whl¢h was paid for grants he obiain&J Indep•daniiy. Uslng Ihe camphg ewlpment purchasad In prlor ar5 1he explorers have been out on Ihe hills numerous (uasK)ns this year. Many ol cur eXplor¥ and young leaders also attended Ihe Sub Zero camp al AuctrEngillan in January 2024. Two of our ExploreTS were selected to attend Roverway eKpedlbon on 22nd Juty 2024. In order lo fundraise they organlseé an all region ExperS Gaa eveni ai ihe end ol summer 2023. a Halloween paty lor group memDers kn oCber 2023 and a Covthy event In Aprtl 2024. They raised alrnost £2000 trom these evenis. In addlllon our exF4orer leader Ross lSe or £21)00 by nJnAng the Highland Fling which 19 53 mIS Irom Glasgow to Tynthim on Ihe We hltyiland way. The committee hdd a lundraiw in Crt¢b¥ 2023 V&ith a k've band had our anNal Christrnas fayre, table top sale in January 2024 and a Quo in March 2024. We raised almost £3000 the group al these evenls. We also oblained grnnl fdg of £60 fM Y(NJth UK and £6404 Irom Avftrds for Ail. During Ihe year various high value hall upgrade. maintenance and repavs had to te carried out. We had rIf maintenance and repairs of lust over £2500, garden upgrade ¥KI mainienance induding a Tree surgeon of just over £70CQ. This induded a ne•V paved a3 wlh a shed to hold equipment vthich had lo be moved from the hal due to Fife Safety regulations. The regul¥ mainlenanee d our heatsng and ffft safety systems cJ)sl lust over £10. Finalfyl the ccmm¢tee were able lo purchase an a¢SJitb)nal 80 foléing chairs which can hang our chair rack K) the stcrfage area to LTeate more space for olh¢r group equipment.
