The Project was set up as a Social Enterprise with the purpose of securing the progression of traditional Scottish textile trades. Particular emphasis was applied to Kilt making and this has become the mainstay of the project provision. All trustees and board members receive no remuneration. The course provided includes a particular syllabus authorised and validated through Qualification Scotland. To this end a professional tutor is retained. An associated retail facility provides for supporting funds.

Objectives: The Company's objects shall be to advance education for the public benefit by facilitating the development and provision of a training facility to promote and preserve traditional skills connected with the culture and heritage of textiles in the area
