Our charity is set up to look after and improve the ecology and aquatic species within our catchment area. This includes the flora and fauna. We are closely involved with the River Don Board and we also aim to assist in the achievement of carrying out the River Don Fishery Management Plan. We are involved in the collection of samples of water from the river for chemical analysis as well as assisting with invertebrate sampling. We have made a film which highlights the dangers and abundance of invasive species, in particular giant hogweed, in order to educate and warn members of the public. We are also involved in the organisation and management of the Rover Don Website. Our intention is to engage in a restoration project on our catchment shortly.

Objectives: The Objects for which the Company is established are: - (A) To advance for public benefit environmental protection and improvement by conserving and enhancing all species of freshwater fish and their environments primarily but not limited to the inland and coastal waters of the River Don (B) To advance the education of the public and any association, company, local authority, administrative or governmental agency or public body or representative body in: - (1) The understanding of aquatic ecosystems, including their fauna, flora and economic or social activity, and river catchment management. (2) The need for, and benefits of, protection, conservation, rehabilitation and improvement of aquatic environments.
