**Objectives:** To advance the education of and relieve the needs of any persons who are or who will be affected by limb absence and their partners/carers in the Northeast of Scotland.  In furtherance of the above Objects by:  (1) Ensuring, through the hospital visiting service, that the advice and experience of more established amputees is available for those about to undergo the surgical removal of a limb or limbs.  (2) Offering day-to-day support for those hospital patients returning to their normal living environment.  (3) Make available any pertinent information that members may require.
