Torrance Community Initiative acts as stewards of the land that forms Woodmill Park. It manages, maintains and improves the park for the benefit of the Torrance villagers and visitors, providing picnic benches, walking and play areas, two fairy trails, football pitch, bee & butterfly garden, wooden carvings etc. These provide a peaceful and relaxing space for people to gather with family and friends, benefiting their general health and wellbeing.

Objectives: The objects of the Group shall be to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Torrance and its environs (See map Attached) without distinction of sex, sexuality, political, religious or other opinions by associating with, if necessary, the local statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities, or assist in the provision of facilities , in the interest of social welfare for recreation and other leisure-time occupation so that their conditions of life may be improved. In furtherance thereof, the Group shall seek to use land (Woodmill Park) held in trust by the Group for the benefit of the community. Any proposed buildings thereon, or proposed change of use of any part of the land will require to be balloted and to be ratified at an AGM or SGM.
