Art Angel is founded in the belief that the arts and creativity are important to the lives and development of everyone, and that the highest quality of artistic opportunity should be accessible to all. Art Angel's particular mission is developing the creative and artistic potential of vulnerable adults who have experience of mental health difficulties as a means of self-expression, empowerment, recovery and wellbeing.

Objectives: (a) the provision of facilities for people with mental health difficulties and their carers in Dundee and its environs, offering access to a range of community based activities, support groups and organizations with a view to encouraging selfexpression, leading to a sense of empowerment. (b) the education of the public in raising awareness of the issues of mental health, well being and mental illness through a programme of work to continue to raise and develop self advocacy skills among disadvantaged people with experience of mental health difficulties. (c) to provide access to arts-based activities encouraging self-expression and to provide a creative platform offering opportunities for people to explore their own creativity and to display this creativity through exhibitions and public forum events. (d) to support individuals moving from residential to community based care by offering various activities to become involved in and providing opportunities for social interaction.
