FRPA collect unwanted furniture and domestic electrical appliances, diverting them from landfill, to be refurbished before passing them on to new users. Items are supplied to local authority and housing association tenants through a voucher scheme, or sold to the general public at affordable prices. To achieve this our activities include, but are not limited to: * Protecting the environment by diverting goods from landfill * Collecting unwanted, good quality furniture free from anywhere in Angus * Refurbishing furniture and tests electrical appliances * Helping to reduce homelessness by passing furniture and appliances on to people who have been given tenancies, but have no furniture * Selling other furniture at modest prices, with a 20% reduction for those in receipt of benefits * Offering jobs to the young unemployed who come to us under Government schemes, thus training them for paid employment thereafter * Offering Volunteers similar job training and work experience.
