'the advancement of citizenship or community development','the advancement of environmental protection or improvement'

We are a horticultural charity working in association with other local community groups and social enterprises to provide horticultural activities for service users and the public to enjoy. We paricipate in the annual Beautiful Scotland competition and involve other community groups in the judging process. Being part of the Keep Scotland Beautiful community provides support and networking opportunities with other like-minded communities. We provide gardening assistance and support to Sheltered Housing residents who are no longer able to maintain their own gardens. We support the community allotments and community initiatives who provide horticultural opportunitles for people with learning difficulties so that they can experience the health and wellbeing benefits that gardening can bring. We also organise an annual 'best garden' competition to showcase the endeavours of those participating with an awards ceremony in September.

Objectives: (1) To promote horticulture in and around Inverurie for the benefit of the public by providing or encouraging the provision of displays of flowers, shrubs, trees and landscapes in places visible to the public. and (2) To advance the education of the public concerning the natural environment through the development of environmental programhes.
