The charity aims to advance the education of the public in the art of brass band music and it achieves this by promoting and presenting public performances throughout the year. The charity also offers tuition and performance opportunities to children and young people thorugh the operation of a youth band open to all.

Objectives: The object of the band shall be to advance the education of the public in the art of brass band music by the promotion and encouragement of all efforts appertaining to brass bands and their music and the presentation of public performances and recitals.
