The charity was set up to help regenerate the local communities in which it serves by improving, protecting and managing the environment of the Communities by the reclamation, radiation or restoration or any other operation intended to facilitate the economic, social or environmental use of the communities where such has been restricted because of previous use and to support residents in the Communities in a manner that will increase economical and social independence by developing regeneration projects. This has been achieved by the redevelopment of the Lochgelly Miners Institute with the assistance of grant funding from a derelict building into a functioning economic and social hub within Lochgelly, providing spaces for businesses to operate and the Ore Valley Business Centre has helped improve the economic, social and environment of the local Community.
