Of note this year has been our participation in budget setting and the establishment of an agreed charging structure for lets. The Council has decided to use Hallmaster as its standard booking and invoicing platf onn which is now being used for all venues under the control of the Council's centralised booking department and for those Community Associations volunteering to adopt Hallmaster. There are signif icanl benef its in the use of this system in terrns of scheduling, caretaking staf f and providing an online 'self serve, setvice f or let applications and in allowing bookings and conf itmation to be done online. We will continue to support the Council in this implementation and encourage its acceptance by any Associations struggling to decide. Not all Community Associations have af f iliated to NAFCO and this is to their disadvantage by not being in the loop for communication of items of operational importance and is also not benef icial to NAFCO in that not all Associations, views are heard and taken into account in d iscussions with the Council Off icers.
