CONSTITUTION AND ORGANISATIONAL STRucfuRE
The Trust was constituted by a Trust Deed registered In December 2002.
In 2009 Ken Dickson was appointed by the Members of the Trust to condutt and mana9e
the Trust's financial and general business affairs, In addition to his pastoral role In Grace
Ministries.
OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES

OVERVIEW
Grace Ministries (Inverbervie) Is a Christian charity SC033901
based In the small
coastal town of Inverbervie, 25 miles south of Aberdeen. The primary objective of the
charity Is to minister the love and life changing message of Jesus Christ through 5ervirKJ
the comrnunity of Inverbervie and surrounding villages.
TRUSTEES
Grace Ministries is currently managed by a group of ten trustees. Our Trust Deed allov45
for a rninimum of three and a maximum of ten trustees. dependent upon the size arxy
scope of the trust. New trustees will be appointed by existing trustees based on thelr
experience, business, and vocational skills, as well as a proven Christian cornrnitrnent.
STATEMENT OF TRUSTEE RESPONSIBILITIES
Scottish law as It applies to charities requires that Trustees prepare financial statements
for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the charity's financial activities
during the year, and of Its financial position at the year end. Our trustees havE
endeavoured to follow best prattice and:

The TrLJStees also recognise their responsibility for keeping accounting records which
disclose with reasonable accuracy the financial position of the charity, and to comply with
the applicable law and regulations. We also recognise our responsibility for safeguardir)g
the assets of the charity and to take reasonable steps for the prevention and detertion of
fraud and other Irregularities.
FINANCIAL INFORMATION
Total Income for 2024 was £29,329 which was £6,698 less than 2023. To maintain our
reserves position our payments were reduced by a similar amount. Our bank balance gt
year end was £20,773.
There are no outstanding loans to Grace Ministries.
Key financial highlights
fell by almost £7000 to £29,329 due to falling member income. Sadly,
this significantly affected our ability to make gifts to other ministries/individuals.
Maintenan
costs tripled to £4,263, mainly attributed to the one-off cost of
resurfacing the wooden floors in the main halls. Not bad after more than 15 years
of wear and tearl
ilit bill had more than doubled In 2023. 1 am pleased to report that this was
reduced by 210/0 to £5,947 in 2024 after renegotiating our energy contract. T￿5
began In October so we should see further benefits filtering through in 2025.

represents 30010 of total income. Key beneficiaries were a Ministry to Laos, Wycliffe
Bible Translators, SU Scotland, Scottish Bible Society rninistry in Guatemala, Bervle
Holiday Club, and Open Doors

TAXATION
The Trust Is recognised as a charity by the InlanL1 Revenue. This allows us to benef1t froth
rates relief and to reclaim Gift Aid on gifts made by taxpayers. There Is no liability to
taxation on any of its income.
RESERVES POLICY
The Trust carries financial reserves at o level that is considered suitable and necessary for
our future work.
RISK MANAGEMENT AND REVIEW
The trustees have assesseL1 the main areas of risk to which the trust and Its trustees a
exposed, In particular those relating to the operations and finances of the Trust. The
have been identified as child protection., financial control and propriety,. public liabilityi fi
and electrical safety; GDPR and public hygiene. External companies make regular visits
carry out key safety service work. Training courses have been developed 'in house, ts)
facilitate training of volunteer staff when required.
AFFILIATIONS
Some of our trustees also serve as trustees in other organisations. We also support other
Christian Charities at home and abroad from time to time which provide specific reliqf
ministries.
VOLUNTEERS
We greatly value the volunteers who serve the Trust and associated Church Fellowship at
The Living Rooms. When necessary, we ensure that references and child protection audits
are taken for Trew volunteers, and training provided.

KEY ACTIVITIES & HIGHLIGHTS of 2024
Lizzy Balmer was welcomed onto the trustee teatn in March. She has grown in spirituel
maturity and taken on more responsibilities In the fellowship at The Living Rooms ITLR) In
recent years. In the aLJtumn she embarked on a two year part time course with WTC In
Nottingham. Her course fees are part funded by TLR.
Key actions and events dur1ng the year..
PRAYER 1s of utmost Importance at TLR. We have weekly prayer groups for
reflective and Intercessory prayer. We encourage members of the fellowship to take
advantage of opportunities to pray with others when they arise.
Vee Dickson led an Initiative In the springtime to Increase the profile of prayer In
the commun1ty using the excellent 'Try Proving, resources.
HOT CHOCOLATE ON THE STREET serves hot drinks on the main street Df
Inverbervie on a Friday evening all year round. The team of ladies enthusiasticallv
bring God's love and joy to many regulars, young and old, often v41th significant
conversation5 and opportunities for prayer. A special evening was singing carols Pt
Christmas when a large crowd celebrated the birth of Jesus In the open air.
HOLIDAY CLUB Is a j.oint venture with TLR, the Parish Church and SU Scotland. It
has been growing year on year since covid and this year we welcomed 70 childron
each day over 4 days to the 'Restoration Station, to discover how Jesus is able to
rescue ènd restore us to God.
MAINLY MUSIC for mum5 and toddlers goes from strength to strength and h•s
gained a reputation for being the best group in the area. Megyn now leads three
large groups each week.
HOUSE GROUPS
2 groups were started during the year meeting every other
week, one in Bervie and the other in Montrose. They are well attended y¥ith a focus
on Bible study, prayer and fellowship.
SERVICES
we continue to hold a Sunday morning all age service and a Sunday
evening teaching service at TLR. Special Joint events were held with Bervie Pari$h
Church at Easter and Christmas.
I would like to pay tribute to the ongoing loving, faithful support of the many membets
and friends of TLR who make everything we do a delight. And finally, and above all I want
to thank Almighty God for his grace and guidance and provision once again in 20241

The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance
with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland} Act 2005 and the
Charities Accounts {Scotland) Regulations 2006 {as amended). The charity trustees

does not apply. It is my responslblllty to examlne the accounts as required under sectlon
44 11) (c) of the Act and to State whether particular matters have come to my attenllDn.

My examlnation Is carried out In accordance with Regulation I l of the Charities Accolnts
(Scotland l Regulations 2006. An examlnation includes a review of the accountlng rec•rds
kept by the charlty and a comparlson of the accounts presented wlth those records,
also includes consideration of any unusual Items or dlsclosures In the accounts and seeks

Accounting Policies
Basis of Preparation and assessment of going concern
The Financial Statements have been prepared In accordance with the Statement Df
Recommended Practice.. Accounting and Reporting by Charities preparing their
accounts In accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard app11cable In the UK
and the Republic of Ireland IFRS1021 Issued on 16 July 2014, the Charities and
Trustees Investment (Scotlandl Art 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotlan
Regulations 2006 las amended).
The trustees consider that there are no material uncertainties about the Trust's
ability to continue as a going concern.
Funds structure
Unrestricted funds comprise those funds which the trustees are free to use for a
purpose In furtherance of the charitable objects.
Unrestrirted funds Include
designated funds where the trustees, at their discretion, have created a fund for a
specific purpose.
Irrecoverable VAT
Irrecoverable Value Added Tax is charged against the expenditure heading f
which it was incurred.

Trustees remuneration
No remuneration or expense was paid to any trustee during the year (2023 £NIll
in respert of their duties as a trustee.
Property
The property from which Living Rooms operates Is the former Inverbervie Gospel
Hall which was gifted to Grace Ministries In the year to 31 December 2004. Its then
current value of £50,000 comprises the Building Fund. Subsequent extension an
refurbishment works have been added at cost and form part of the General Fundi
Reserves
There are no designated funds other than the Building Fund which represents tht
value of the property gifteL1 to the Trust as described at Note 8 above.
