The Charity was Constitued in September 2002
OBJECTIVES & ACTIVITIES
The objectives of the Charity are to support the development and growth of Stracathro Hospital, to foster co-operation between the Health Authorities and the general public with regard to the hospital, to raise funds for the provision of facilities and services that cannot be porivded by the NHS and to receive donations for that purpose. Further it will ensure that the recipient of a donation of equipment is aware that it may not be removed from Stracathro Hospital. The charity will also stimulate and foster interest in Stracathro Hospital and in the welfare of patients, relatives and staff.
ACHIEVEMENTS & PERFORMANCE
The Charity was fortunate to receive two legacies during the Year. Specialised equipment to ease the procedures. for patients requiring colorectal surgery was purchased and more items are being purchased in 2025.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
The Trustees are liaising with the medical professionals re new equipment which would support their work at Stracathro The funds are in a good state following the receipt of legacies and the Trustees are looking to spend these to the bene of patients at Srtcathro.a

Reserves Policy
There are sufficient Reserves to cover the routine running of the Fund for several years. Funds are only spent as they become available and there are no ongoing costs.
Statement of Trustees' Responsibilities
Charity law requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which show a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity and its financial activities for that period. In preparing those financial statements, the trustees are required to:

select suitable acccounting policies and then apply them consistently;

make judgments and estimates that are reasonable and prudent;

state whether applicable accounting standards and statements of recommended practice have been followed, subject to any departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements; and

prepare the financial statement on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue in operational existence.

Respective responsibilities of Trustees and Examiner
The charity’s Trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended).
The charity's Trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(1) (d) of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44(1) (c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of Independent Examiner’s Statement
My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006(as amended). An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the Accounts, and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently, I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
Independent Examiner’s Statement
In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention

which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements:

to keep accounting records in accordance with Section 44(1) (a) of the 2005 Act and Regulation 4 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations, and
-
to prepare Accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with Regulation 9 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations(as amended) have not been met.

Except the matter referred to in the financial Review.
